Feed additive 3; dietary supplement B; mixtures of trace elements ID NO.3b603
UNICYNK
[zinc oxide]
Name: UNICYNK [ZnO zinc oxide] / Zincum oxydatum 72%
Properties:
Powder without smell and taste. It does not dissolve in water and spirit. Zinc is one of the important trace metals in the body.
It occurs in the body of animals in conjunction with many proteins and enzyme systems.
Action:
Zinc deficiency causes impairment of the functioning of numerous enzyme systems related to the metabolism of nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, lowering the body's immunity, and impaired replication and differentiation of bone and cartilage cells.
Zinc deficiency impairs the functioning of the taste and smell receptors, therefore there is a significant decrease in appetite and feed intake.
Zinc oxide is used in the substance and in the form of powders on the skin, mucous membranes or wounds and ulcers, it has an astringent, drying, antipruritic and weakly antiseptic effect.
In pigs, it should be used as a feed additive to protect piglets against diarrhea in the period before and after weaning, including diarrhea caused by E.
Application:
The use of zinc oxide in the period of 2 weeks before and 2 weeks
after weaning, it significantly increases piglet weight gain through increased uptake and better feed utilization.
During the use of zinc oxide, we observe a significant reduction in the incidence of non-specific diarrhea as well as against the background of E.coli.
Dosage:
Cats and dogs: 200 mg / kg
Elkids and calf milk replacers: 180 mg / kg
Piglets, sows, rabbits and all fish other than salmonids: 150 mg / kg
Other species and categories: 120 mg / kg
CONSEQUENCES OF ZINC DEFICIENCY
PRODUCTION HEALTH
lowering the growth rate of parakeratosis of the skin, rumen walls, feathers
lack of appetite decreased immunity
poor feed conversion higher susceptibility to infectious diseases
poor libido hoof disease, lameness and consequently
low efficiency to cover the missing animals
low ovulation, poor quality milk and consequently
small number of litters in pigs, poor rearing results of calves and piglets
CATTLE
The supply of zinc is the basic factor contributing to the reduction of the content of somatic cells in milk (the lower the content of somatic cells in milk, the higher the class of milk). High levels of somatic cells in milk are most often associated with hoof diseases, especially in litterless barns. Limiting and eliminating these problems requires adequate levels of zinc in the dose.
ASK
ZINC inhibits the development of pathogenic bacterial flora of the gastrointestinal tract in the first days after weaning, when piglets start to consume more solid fodder, digesting it poorly. It also raises blood sugar below the renal threshold, contributing to better tissue nourishment, resulting in a higher resistance of these young animals to the stress associated with weaning.
POULTRY
ZINC is involved in the development of the egg embryo, which is related to their good hatchability. It also takes part in the mineralization of the egg shell and the deposition of minerals in the bones. It participates in the processes of skin tissue mineralization, especially during the moulting periods.
ZINC is one of the essential minerals that ensure the basic vital functions of the animal organism. This element is a component of about 200 metalloenzymes that determine the growth and health of animals. Its content in fodder, especially vegetable fodder, is low. For this reason, it is insufficient for the proper development of animals. Supplementing the dose with UNICINK covers their nutritional needs, ensuring their proper development.
