PROPERTIES AND OPERATION:

Linseed is a mucilage and fatty material. The mucus content is 3-6%. It has a protective effect in the digestive tract.
When administered orally in a fragmented state, it swells in the presence of water.
Colloids are formed, which loosen the fecal masses in the intestine and facilitate defecation. Aqueous flaxseed extracts administered orally cover the mucosa of the esophagus and stomach with a thin layer.
Thanks to this, they protect the mucosa from harmful substances and excess gastric juice.
The linseed mucus also covers the intestinal mucosa and lasts quite a long time because it is resistant to hydrolysing agents.
It inhibits putrefactive processes in the intestines.

APPLICATION OF OMEGA-VET:

Internally - as a protective agent in inflammation of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract; as a mild laxative, it is used in colic and flatulence; chronic gastroduodenitis.

Externally - for softening and warming compresses for ulcers, skin eruptions and all kinds of skin inflammations.

DOSAGE:

Orally and in rectal infusion, as a macerate of 10 - 20%, for sows for the period of 3 - 5 days before parturition
