Alfalfa - seeds coated with Rhizobium 10 kg
Alfalfa is one of the best known varieties of this species. It is an outstanding variety, yielding early in the conditions of our climate. It is distinguished by a very high frost tolerance. It is not affected by drought, it has a dynamic development. Intervals between swaths are short, only 25-30 days. By deeply rooting, it takes not only water, but also hard-to-reach nutrients, bringing them closer to the surface. It is reliably yielding, very efficient, it even delivers 4-5 swaths per season. In addition, the seeds were surrounded with a specialized preparation containing Rhizobium bacteria, which can fix atmospheric nitrogen. Alfalfa, as a legume plant, has a natural ability to symbiosis with this species. Thanks to the shell, it happens much faster, the emergence is more even, and the further development is more impressive. The yields are significantly higher, they have even more protein than plants sown from standard seeds. Seedlings and adult plants are less susceptible to stresses of various origins.
Life form: perennial, in Poland treated as a use for several years.
Habit: Alfalfa plants produce a lush green mass of rather tall, branching stems.
Foliage: three-leafed, richly sprouting shoots. Intensely green color, leaf blades. The edges of the leaves are serrated at the top.
Inflorescence: head type, set on the tip of the shoot. Multiflowering with a strong color from the violet, blue or purple palette. Slightly fragrant.
Application: alfalfa is a source of valued feed material with a high content of proteins and their nutrients. Characterized by high fertility, intended for green fodder, drought and for the production of silage. It is extremely useful for feeding dairy cattle. When mixed with grasses, it is perfect for feeding horses. Other animal species also readily consume alfalfa as food. The advantage of the species is its honey yield. Plants visit swarms of bees and bumblebees.
Stand: a properly prepared field for alfalfa cultivation should have a neutral pH, be balanced with potassium and phosphorus, deeply cultivated, rich and humus.
Frost resistance: described as wintering very well.
Sowing rate: 25-40 kg / ha in pure sowing
