Deer feed
(Deer, roe deer, fallow deer)
With an increased content of calcium, phosphorus, methionine, cystine and biotin.
Intended use of the feed
The feed is intended for cervids (deer, fallow deer, fallow deer) as a feed supplementing natural fishery feed during male antlers and fetal development in females.
Benefits of using feed
There is a clear impact on health, body weight, antler education, while reducing damage to crops and stand. The feed provides the animal's body with a lot of nutrients; proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and in particular easily absorbable calcium compounds
and phosphorus, which are the basic building blocks of antlers and important in the metabolism of the formation of antler tissue, methionine, cystine, biotin (vitamin H).
Ingredients
Cereal middlings, protein middlings, linseed middlings, bark of deciduous trees, dried alfalfa, flour and bran, fodder salt, fodder chalk, monocal phosphate, vitamin and mineral premix, methionine, biotin.
Nutritional recommendations
The amount of doses used depends on the rearing system, the resource and load of the fishery, age, body weight and health status as well as the course of winter (temperature and snow). Up to 1 kg per day per item. When choosing a feeding method, avoid feed that is easily available and in large quantities, because it causes the animal to eat relatively quickly, standing still, limiting the time for
prey search.
Additional information
Granulated fodder with a diameter of Ø 6 mm. The largest value up to 5 months from the date of production. Store on pallets in a ventilated, dry place.
Deer antler consists of 50% calcium phosphate, 5% other calcium and magnesium salts and 45% organic matter. Food needs were determined, among others, on the basis of research and analyzes of prof. Zbigniew Jaczewski. He believes that the strong bull antlers weighing 10 kg contain about 5 kg of calcium and phosphorus. Taking into account the period of 120 days of antler application and assuming 70% bioavailability of calcium and phosphorus, it should be secured in concentrated and volumetric feed for living purposes and antler formation
about 54 g of calcium and 46 g of phosphorus per day. From 70% to 80%, these needs are covered with roughage and body reserves, and in 20% to 30% they should be supplemented with concentrated feed, which is a factor determining its quality.
